How to Reserve
1. Submit Your Request
To create your own unique travel plan, we ask customers to provide detailed information about desired destinations, experiences, activities, dietary preferences, and any other specific requirements. Please ensure that all your preferences are clearly outlined in your inquiry.
Note: to ensure an exclusive experience, we recommend booking your bespoke tour at least 3 to 6 months in advance.
2. Free Online Consultation
Once we have received your request, we will send you a list of available dates to set up a free online meeting with our travel coordinator. During the session, our coordinator will discuss your expectations, priorities, and preferences to better understand your needs.
3. Planning
Our coordinator will carefully design your travel plan, including destinations, accommodations, and logistics. You will receive a detailed itinerary and remain in communication until the plan and budget are finalized.
4. Initial Payment
Once you and our coordinator have agreed on the general outline of your itinerary and budget, the trip will be confirmed upon payment of 50% of the total tour fee. This is to secure your accommodations, logistics and guide.
This initial payment includes a non-refundable deposit of (15,000 Yen/day of your stay in Japan) which will be deducted to indemnify our resources for planning, arrangement, and cancelling all reservations in the event of your cancellation.
5. Finalizing Your Journey
After all reservations and plans have been finalized, you will receive the finalized itinerary and the remaining tour fee. The remaining fee must be paid 60 days prior to the tour day.
6. Prepare for Your Journey
Once step 5 is complete, all that remains is your take-off for Japan. We will ensure that the best team is selected to welcome you. Our guide will be eagerly awaiting to escort you on an unforgettable stay in the land of Japan.
7. Please have a Safe Trip to Japan
Cancellation Policy
At Japan Star Travel Agency (JASTA), we recognize that travel plans may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Should you need to modify or cancel your tour, our refund policy will be applied based on the timing of your cancellation notice, as outlined below.
*"tour day" defines to the first scheduled day of your tour based on our local Japanese time.
Refund Policy
Refunds will be processed according to the following schedule:
- 61 or more days before the tour day: full refund, excluding the non-refundable deposit
- 60 to 31 days before the tour day: 70% refund
- 30 to 21 days before the tour day: 50% refund
- 20 to 11 days before the tour day: 30% refund
- 10 days or less before the tour day: No refund
Rescheduling Charge
Requests to reschedule an itinerary after finalization may be subject to additional charges.
JASTA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any tour or travel arrangement due to unforeseen circumstances or natural disasters. In such cases, customers will be provided with alternative arrangements or offered a full refund.

Japan Star Travel Agency (“we,” “us,” or “our”) acts only as an intermediary between travelers and independent travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation companies, and other service providers. All travel services are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers, over which we have no control.
Sightseeing and Itinerary
A wide variety of sightseeing sites may be listed for reference. However, this does not mean that all sites can be visited in a single day. Upon discussion and agreement with you, either prior to the tour or on the day of travel, we or the tour guide will arrange an appropriate itinerary with allowable sightseeing locations within the contracted tour hours. Please note that itineraries may be changed or adjusted due to unexpected or unforeseen events, including but not limited to inclement weather or traffic delays. Such changes may be made without liability, and will be carried out in consultation with the client whenever possible, to the extent permitted by law in Japan.
Liability
We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be caused by:
- Acts or defaults of any supplier,
- Natural disasters, weather conditions, acts of God, or pandemics
- Government actions, strikes, civil disturbances, or terrorism,
- Traveler’s failure to obtain required travel documents (passport, visa, health certificates, etc.).
We are not responsible for any form of litigation, legal dispute, or claim arising out of or relating to the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers, unforeseen circumstances, or traveler conduct, except to the extent liability is required by law in Japan.
Acknowledgment
By booking with Japan Star Travel Agency, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this disclaimer, and that you release us from liability to the maximum extent permitted by law in Japan.
