Gorgeous Architecture of Toshogu Shrine: Nikko Toshogu Shrine boasts 55 buildings, including 8 national treasures and 34 important cultural properties. The shrine’s stunning architecture leaves visitors in awe.

The Scent of Temples: for Japanese people, the fragrance of incense is closely tied to temples, shrines, and family homes. It evokes feelings of nostalgia, warmth, and love.

Shinkyo Bridge: this iconic bridge connects the human world to the spiritual realm, with Mt. Nantai worshipped as one of Japan’s sacred mountains.

Stone Lantern Path: leading to Toshogu Shrine, the moss-covered stone lanterns evoke a deep sense of history and the passage of time.

Rustic Scene of Futarasan Shrine: while the shrine dazzles with its splendor, you’ll also discover simple, natural scenes that blend beauty with nature.

Rusty Blue of Karamon Mold Gate: the Karamon Gate’s roof, bridge, and piers were made using casting mold techniques, giving the structure a striking rusty blue color over time.

Valley with Clear Water: the sound of cool, crystal-clear water echoes through the valleys, lakes, and waterfalls, showcasing the abundant natural beauty of Nikko.

Mount Nantai: towering over the serene Lake Chuzenji, this sacred mountain has been worshipped since the 8th century, offering a breathtaking backdrop to the region’s natural beauty.

Stone Jizo at Kanmangafuchi Abyss: this mystical sight features about 70 Jizo statues lined up in silence, all adorned with matching red caps and aprons lovingly made by locals.
